Creating Costumes

Grades: 7 - 12

Dates & Times: July 29 - August 9 (Weeks 9 and 10), 9 AM - 12 PM

Location: ART 303, UAF Campus

Cost: $400

Description: Cosplay is the hobby of dressing up as your favorite character. If you like anime, manga, video games, or comic books, you might also enjoy cosplay. Learn about cosplay while developing your costume-making skills! Creating Costumes is a two-week program where students sew and build costumes and accessories from start to finish to represent a specific character. Campers will choose a character, create a costume, and practice wearing their costume for skits and poses.

Instructor: Bunny Anderson

A little about your instructor: My name is Bunny Anderson. I graduated with a degree in Japanese Culture and Language from UAF in 2021. I have been teaching a plethora of subjects, including English and Japanese, for almost a decade. I am incredibly passionate about pop culture, especially video games, comic books, and, most importantly- Cosplay! I have been cosplaying since 2015 and started professionally competing in 2017. I have hosted, emceed, and judged cosplay competitions. I look forward to seeing you in my camp!
