Description: Discover dinosaurs and other fossils, including those found right here in Alaska. Find out what it is like to be a paleontologist and get hands-on with real specimens from the UA Museum's collections.
Instructor: Ben Cragun
A little about your instructor: I am a graduate student studying Late Cretaceous dinosaurs from northern Alaska. I am interested in learning more about whether these dinosaurs lived here throughout the year and, if they did, how they survived the cold and dark winters. Aside from my research, I love to write, play board games, and help people gain a love for science and education.
Assistant: Xochitl Muñoz
A little about Xochitl: am a graduate student studying the small carnivorous dinosaurs who lived in northern Alaska in the Late Cretaceous. I am getting my degree in Earth System Science, and in my free time I enjoy reading and baking. I am very excited to be helping with Dino Camp this year!
