Recorder Camp

Description: Want to get started on an instrument? How about one where you can play a song on the first day? Have you always wondered how reading music works? Join us for Recorder Camp! Every student will have a recorder and learn to play songs and read music! There will be time for self-paced learning so students can progress as fast as they like. There will also be whole-group instruction, and yes, there will be time for fun while learning to make MUSIC together.
Instructor: Kendi Adams
A little about your instructor: Kendi Adams has been teaching music in Alaska since 2008. She has taught elementary band in Fairbanks since 2010, and in 2021 she transitioned to general music. Kendi loves to learn and to help others learn, particularly in the sphere of music. Kendi lives in her log cabin with her husband, Scott, their 4-year-old son, and 5-year-old blue heeler mix.
