Get Up and Dance: Praise Dance!
Grades: 1 - 6
Dates & Times: July 22 - 26 (Week 8), 1 PM - 4 PM
Location: SRC Group Fitness Studio, UAF Campus
Cost: $195
Description: Praise Dance is an expressive art form found in African American churches as part of the worship service. These beautifully choreographed movements are similar to the ones done by Motown performers, only this time the music is spiritual. Campers will explore various instruments and be instructed and coached on the proper mechanics of dance, which include basic ballet, modern dance, and expressive sign language.

A little about your instructor: I am from Monroe, Louisiana but I have lived in Fairbanks for 19 years. I am married and have three children and two dogs. Dancing has always been a huge part of my life and I am so grateful that I am able to share this part of my life with you all. Dancing is very powerful!
