Oceanography Camp

Description: Join faculty and staff from the College of Fisheries & Ocean Sciences and the School of Education and immerse yourself in the undersea world! Dive in to discover how basic concepts in chemistry, physics, geology, and biology are used to investigate the ocean and the creatures who live there. This camp is a unique blend of fun indoor and outdoor activities, hands-on experiments, and projects to make and take home.

Instructor: Brian Crandall

A little about your instructor: Brian Crandall works for the College of Fisheries & Ocean Sciences (CFOS) here at UAF. Before joining the CFOS team, he taught sixth-grade science in Fairbanks. Brian is also the former owner of Mad Science of the Mid-Hudson (in New York), where students in grades K-8 attended enrichment classes that were a blend of his energetic, wacky humor and hands-on science.
