A bit about me: I was born in Alaska and raised here and overseas. I'm pursuing a degree in Art and Computer Science at UAF. I love comics! I learned to read as soon as I could, yet before that, I was still enjoying comics! I work primarily with digital materials, but I believe the best way to learn the fundamentals of drawing is with a pencil and paper. I have taught for the Visual Art Academy for 6 years and this is my second semester as a 365 SMART instructor. I can't wait to discuss cartooning and comics with everyone.

Cartooning
Grades: 7-12

Description: Comics combine all features of cartooning that there is! By doing comics we learn how to exaggerate expressions, poses, and character design on paper, all while telling a story.
