A bit about me: I grew up in Wasilla, Alaska and have worked at multiple National Park Service sites in Alaska. I have experience working with students in the field of paleontology while focusing on the geologic time scale, fossils, and dinosaurs. I can’t wait to explore National Parks with you while discovering their hidden fossil treasures. .

A bit about me: I grew up in Cordova, Alaska and have worked for the Park Service at Denali National Park seasonally and now at the Morris Thompson center in Fairbanks. I also have some experience working in a paleontology lab and with field work in Denali. I look forward to going on a virtual fossil adventure with you! 


Junior Paleontologist

Grades: 4-6

Dates: July 14-August 11

Zoom Times: Wednesdays, 10am

Cost: $195

Description: Explore and learn about fossils and dinosaurs in National Parks! Come explore with us as we discover fossils and ancient life forms within our National Parks. We will have instructor lead interactive activities, online self-paced explorations, as well as some fun activities to do between sessions. At the very end of the sessions, you will become a Junior Ranger Paleontologist and will have earned your Junior Ranger Paleontologist badge and certificate! 

Course Kit Content: Junior Paleontologist booklet, badge, and certificate, Junior Ranger pencil, fossil poster and sticker, various paleontology activities

Supplies You Will Provide: basic writing utensils
