Instructor: Falk Huettmann

A little about Falk: I am happy to welcome you and to share with you what Alaska has to offer regarding wildlife and species. I have lived in Alaska now for over 20 years and have studied wildlife for over 30 years worldwide. I started like you, as a young student, and was impressed what one can learn about the world's environment. Alaska offers us amazing wilderness areas and incredible species. We will discover the wilderness first hand, in the field, and in the lab. We will meet with experts on biodiversity and learn about the methods biologists use to study wildlife in a changing climate.

Instructor: Hazel Berrios

A little about Hazel: Hello, young explorers! I'm thrilled to be your camp leader on this amazing adventure into the wild wonders of Alaska! Ever since I moved here, I've been diving deep into the great outdoors, studying all sorts of plants and how they make their homes in nature. As a biologist, I get to play detective, uncovering the secrets of how our environment works, from the tiniest seeds to the tallest trees. Right now, my mission is to protect the precious resources we all rely on—like clean water, healthy soil, and safe homes for animals (and people, too!). Get ready to join me in becoming guardians of our beautiful planet!
