Grades 6 - 8: June 16 - 20 (Week 4), 1 PM - 4 PM (Waitlist only!)
Location: UAF Patty Center, 1890 Tanana Lp E, Fairbanks
Cost: $250
Description: Our goal is to provide quality instruction with a focus on the fundamentals and fun. Campers will work with UAF Men's Basketball in an atmosphere that stresses the fun that comes from working hard and playing together. Our staff will instruct in a positive way that will leave the campers feeling confident in themselves as players and people, while helping to develop a lifelong love of the game of basketball. Basketball Camp is open to boys and girls and will be led by UAF men's basketball team players and coaches.
Instructor: Frank Ostanik and UAF Men's Basketball
A little about your instructor: Coach Ostanik brings 32 years of coaching experience to the court, including 12 years at the collegiate level. During his first tenure as head basketball coach at the University of Alaska, Coach Ostanik led the Nanooks to an NCAA Sweet Sixteen and 55 wins, still the most by any Nanooks coach over a three year span. During his 16 years at Monroe Catholic, Coach Ostanik led the Rams to seven state title games and four state championships, while amassing a record of 369-85. Coach Ostanik is a highly sought after motivational speaker, clinician and teacher of the game.
