Description: This four-week strength and conditioning program with Nanook Recreation is designed to help high school athletes become stronger, faster, and more resilient for their sport. Training meets four days per week for two hours and is supervised and coached by a certified strength & conditioning specialist with 18 years of experience working with collegiate athletes. Athletes will receive a training plan tailored to their sport and individual needs, with modifications throughout the summer as abilities and goals evolve. Sessions emphasize safe strength training, improved range of motion, injury prevention, and total athletic development. Training will include agility and footwork, linear and lateral speed development, plyometrics, and more. Participants must be 15 years old.

A little about Chris: I am the Assistant Director for Wellness for Nanook Recreation and have been a fitness professional for the past 20 years. I worked as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach for 17 years, working with athletes of all levels, ranging from middle school to professional athletes. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a USA Weightlifting Advanced Sports Performance Coach (level 2).
