Description: Song and Dance Camp is a fun, creative, and energetic program designed to inspire children to express themselves through music and movement. Participants explore a variety of songs and dance styles while developing rhythm, coordination, confidence, and teamwork. Each day includes warm-ups, vocal activities, dance practice, and creative games led by experienced instructors in a supportive and encouraging environment. Campers work together to learn routines and songs, building performance skills and self-expression. The camp concludes with a small showcase where participants proudly share what they’ve learned with family and friends.
Instructor: Jaunelle Celaire
A little about your instructor: Dr. Celaire is Chair and Professor of Voice at UAF Music. She enjoys teaching and spending time with her daughter, Julianna. She is super excited to work with your kids this summer.
Instructor: Alexia Devine
A little about your instructor: Alexia Devine is a 3rd year Music Education Major at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Her main instrument is voice and she takes lessons from Dr. Jaunelle Celaire. Alexia has partaken in multiple musicals and operas, with her most recent role as an ancestor in FLOT and FSAF’s production of The Addams’ Family. She is excited to continue her teaching journey and work with you this summer.
