Description: Child & Babysitting Safety Camp prepares youth to care for children with confidence and practical, real-world skills. Campers learn CPR and first aid for all ages, choking response, injury prevention, and how to recognize when something isn’t right. The course also addresses staying calm under pressure, understanding stress responses, and supporting children’s emotional needs. Designed with the realities of growing up in Alaska in mind, this camp builds both physical safety skills and emotional awareness. Participants will practice everyday caregiving tasks, including maintaining a safe environment and preparing simple snacks. Students will earn a HSI Child & Babysitting Safety certificate in addition to an American Heart Association CPR and First Aid certificate. We have partnered with Heart & Soul CPR, a Mind and Body Safety Training Center focused on thoughtful, real-world safety education.
